Milt Bassett

Milt is a 1964 graduate of Woodward High School.  He received his Bachelors of Education Degree in 1968 from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and his Masters Degree in Administration from NWOSU in 1971.  Milt coached 30 years at several schools:  Tribune, KS, Shawnee, Enid Purcell, Yukon, Woodward, University of Oklahoma, and Henrietta, TX.  His 1994 Woodward Boomer team won the Class 5A State Championship and he was on staff at the University of Oklahoma for the 1985 National Championship.  Milt has been inducted into the OCA Hall of Fame, the National High School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame, and the Oil Bowl Hall of Fame.  He is a past president of the OCA and has served as Executive Director since 2000.  Milt and his wife, Mary Jane, have two daughters; Candyce and husband Jeff Myers and Carma and husband Jason Reagan plus seven grandchildren.

Joe Tunnell

Joe is a 1955 graduate of Rush Springs High School and a 1959 graduate of East Central State University.  He has a Masters of Education Degree from ECSU.  Joe coached high school football for 41 years:  twenty-seven years in Rush Springs (1959-67 and 1981-2000) and fourteen years at Lindsay (1967-81).  Joe has been inducted in the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of fame, the National high School Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame, the East Central Athletic Hall of Fame and the Grady County Educators Hall of Fame.  Joe is a past president of the OCA and also a past president of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association.  Joe lives in Rush Springs and has worked for the OCA since 2000.

Jerry Havens

Jerry is a 1960 graduate of Cordell High School and a 1965 graduate of Panhandle A&M University.  He has a Masters of Education Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Jerry coached for 38 years.  Twenty-six of those years were in Oklahoma:  Mangum(1), Clinton(3), Shawnee(7), Marlow(2), and Stillwater(12).  Jerry finished his coaching career in Texas, coaching at Lewisville High School for 12 years.  Jerry has been inducted in the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame and the National high School coaches Association Hall of Fame.  Jerry and his wife, Susan, a school administrator, retired in 2005 and moved back to Shawnee where they now reside.  They have two sons who are both in the college coaching profession: Ja and wife Angie and Jon plus three grandchildren.  Jerry has worked for the OCA since 2006.

Strippy Biggers

Strippy is a 1959 graduate of Midwest City high school.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Special Education (1964) and a Masters Degree in Secondary Administration (1980) from the University of Central Oklahoma.  Strippy spent thirty years at Carl Albert High School as a teacher, coach and athletic director.  He is a forty-six-year member of the Oklahoma Coaches Association and served two terms on the OCA Executive Board.  He has worked at the OCA since 1984 and was inducted into the OCA Hall of Fame in 1997.   Strippy has been involved with Special Olympics Oklahoma for twenty years.  He is the Track Director and serves on the Executive Board.  Strippy and his wife, Tommie, have two children; James (deceased) and Julie and her husband Scott Moore plus two grandchildren.
